Joby's Q2 2025 Financial Highlights: Certification and Growth

Today Joby announced its Q2 2025 financial results, led by significant
momentum on FAA certification, commercialization and now scaled
manufacturing. The company finished the period with approx. $1bn in cash
and short-term investments, well-positioned to continue to execute on its
go-to-market strategy.

RECORD CERTIFICATION PROGRESS:  Joby’s first (of 5) conforming aircraft
for the FAA’s Type Inspection Authorization (TIA) is entering final
assembly–TIA is the final major step in the process of certification. Soon,
FAA pilots will start flying this aircraft to directly evaluate the
aircraft’s performance and safety. In stage four of certification, we’re
now 70 percent complete on the Joby side, and more than 50 percent complete
on the FAA side–up 10 points from last quarter.

DUBAI REAL WORLD TESTING:Joby’s multi-week campaign in Dubai this
summer, consisting of 21 piloted full-transition flights in challenging
real-world conditions, validated aircraft capabilities, operational rigor
and regulatory coordination needed to deploy its air taxi service. To put
its flight testing into context, in July alone, Joby completed 76 separate
flights with four different aircraft in three different locations around
the world.

DEFENSE AIRCRAFT TO FLY IN FALL 2025: Defense and dual-use technology
has always been core to Joby’s strategy–a point demonstrated by its long
history with the DoD. With L3Harris (LHX), Joby will be adapting its
existing platform with turbine electric propulsion and missionization to
meet evolving US Defense needs. This comes as the DoD has requested $9.4B
in the FY26 budget to advance uncrewed and remotely operated aircraft

BLADE + JOBY: Joby’s planned acquisition of Blade brings immediate
market access and infrastructure–a massive head start toward market entry.
And new agreements with Abdul Latif Jameel and ANA will explore deployment
of approx. 300 aircraft.
