SkyDrive SD-05 eVTOL Logs 300 Incident-Free Flights

Japan-based SkyDrive reports its SD-05 multi-rotor eVTOL has completed 300 incident-free flights over 20 months since November 2024. Demo operations in Osaka and Tokyo validated performance and generated extensive flight and operational data to support dispatch reliability, commercial entry planning, and type certification testing. The company continues development toward a targeted 2028 commercialization.

To Our Valued Members of the Press,

SkyDrive Inc., a leading compact eVTOL aircraft developer based in Japan , is pleased to announce that it has completed a total of 300 flights without incident with its multi-rotor eVTOL aircraft currently under development, the "SKYDRIVE" (SkyDrive model SD-05). This milestone was achieved over a period of 20 months starting from November 2024.

Through these demonstration flights, which include operations at the Osaka Expo and in Tokyo , we have not only assessed the aircraft$B!G(Bs performance but also amassed a large volume of flight and operational data. This data will support regular, on-time commercial operations and crucial decisions once our aircraft is on the market.
The aircraft and operational data accumulated through these 300 completed flights provides a solid foundation to support the regulatory testing required for type certification and further aircraft development. This milestone steadily advances our development as we look to accelerate toward commercialization in 2028.
