Enstrom Helicopter Celebrates a Year of Headline-Grabbing Success in 2025
The year 2025 saw Enstrom Helicopter Corporation continue its remarkable resurgence into the light helicopter market. From new, deluxe models to new partnerships to impressive showings at tradeshows, there was a lot to celebrate!
With full Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification of Enstromâs crash resistant fuel system (CRFS) for new 480B helicopters, Enstrom can once more sell helicopters domestically (https://enstromhelicopter.com/2025/enstrom-achieves-faa-compliance/) . This technology, in partnership with Safran Aerosystems, is designed to minimize the risk of post-impact fuel fires during crashes, demonstrating Enstromâs continued commitment to safety.
Several more official approvals are being finalized, including validation from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency and certification of the CRFS developed for Enstromâs piston-powered 280FX. Customers should expect to hear more in the following weeks.
Another big story to come from the past calendar year is the debut of Enstrom Helicopterâs new slate of 480B helicopter models, featuring the 480B Elite (https://enstromhelicopter.com/2025/enstrom-debuts-480b-elite/) . In addition to exclusive paint and interior styles, the Elite includes all the top-of-the-line features Enstrom has to offer, including an all-glass digital instrument panel, Garmin G500H avionics, GTN750/GTN650/Digital Audio radios, ADSB In/Out Surveillance, Genesys autopilot, and air conditioning.
The 480B Signature includes comparable features for engine indication, avionics, radios, and surveillance. The standard 480B will remain a legacy product for customers who just want the basics or who prefer analog engine indication and avionics systems.
Enstrom completed a seamless transition in leadership (https://enstromhelicopter.com/2025/adam-richardson-promoted/) , with former Chief Operating Officer Adam Richardson assuming the role of President & CEO of Enstrom. Former President Todd Tetzlaff remains an integral part of Enstromâs core leadership team as Senior Vice President of Regulator Affairs and Global Relations.
Richardson said, âItâs amazing I get to start with the full complement of knowledge weâve built over the past two years. Todd is still here. Iâm still here. What we are doing is organizing and right fitting our abilities in the best way for our employees, our customers, and our business model.â
In addition to promoting Richardson to President, Enstrom also created a new senior leadership position, welcoming Charles Wade (https://enstromhelicopter.com/2025/enstrom-announces-new-senior-leadership-position/) into his role as Senior Vice President of Product, Sales, and Customer Excellence. With an eye on growth and a passion for customer service, Wade began his tenure at Enstrom by working to solidify Enstromâs relationship with current clients and expand the companyâs reach into new markets.
Wade said, âI saw great potential to reinvigorate the market on a proven product. Working as a team, we will overcome any challenge we might face together.â
Enstrom continues to expand its service center footprint, with Heli-Lynx Helicopters (https://enstromhelicopter.com/2025/enstrom-partners-with-heli-lynx/) in Southern Ontario joining Enstromâs network. Heli-Lynx is now authorized to perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on both piston and turbine Enstrom models.
To aid customers in locating the nearest Enstrom service center, Enstrom developed a new web feature, âFind a Service Center (https://enstromhelicopter.com/2025/enstrom-find-service-centers/) .â The feature also includes a list of mobile service centers who will travel to meet with the customer in a given region.
Enstrom found opportunities to spotlight these latest developments at tradeshows across the globe. Several highlights included VAI VERTICON (https://enstromhelicopter.com/2025/join-enstrom-helicopter-corporation-at-vai-verticon-2025/) in Dallas, Texas, European Rotors (https://enstromhelicopter.com/2025/enstrom-prepares-to-share-key-achievements-at-european-rotors/) in Cologne, Germany, SUN ân FUN Aerospace Expo (https://enstromhelicopter.com/2025/sun-n-fun/) in Lakeland Florida, and EAA AirVenture (https://enstromhelicopter.com/2025/enstrom-helicopter-returning-to-eaa-airventure-in-july/) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, which welcomed a record 704,000 visitors in 2025.
âWeâre just getting started,â said Richardson. âWith our core values of integrity, trust, and teamwork, Enstrom customers have every reason to be excited for the future!â
