SkyDrive Inc., a leading eVTOL aircraft manufacturer based in Japan, is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau ($B!H(BJCAB$B!I(B) on the GeneralCertification Plan for its $B!H(BSKYDRIVE$B!I(B (SkyDrive Model SD-05). The agreement marks another major step forward in the aircraft$B!G(Bs type certification program.
JCAB and SkyDrive have already reached agreement on more than 95% of the Means of Compliance. Agreement on the General Certification Plan, coupled with the strong progress achieved in the Means of Compliance discussions, means that SkyDrive expects to see accelerated progress on all the remaining Certification Plans in the near future. Once all the Certification Plans are agreed, the next step is then to move forward into the compliance testing and analysis phase (Step 5 in $B!H(BCertification Progress with the JCAB and FAA$B!I(B, see diagram below), which represents further major progress towards type certification.
The agreement enables SkyDrive to advance the $B!H(BSKYDRIVE$B!I(B program by reinforcing aircraft reliability and manufacturability, while laying the groundwork for scalable production as the company moves toward commercialization.
